    Noel Ignatiev (b. ) is best known for his call to abolish the white race. He was a co-founder and co-editor of the journal Race Traitor (an anthology from which won an American Book Award), and a co-founder of the New Abolitionist Society. He teaches history at the Massachusetts College of Art. American History.   Niall O’Dowd is the founder of IrishCentral, Irish America Magazine, and the Irish Voice newspaper. He is also responsible for publishing and the Irish Emigrant newspaper in Boston. Niall was awarded an honorary doctorate by University College Dublin for his work on the Irish peace process, which was a subject of a book, Daring Diplomacy, and a Brand: Skyhorse.

The Story of the Irish Race is fascinating to me, as it gives so much more detailed Irish history that I've never heard before. NOT light reading, but good for small sessions.

One objection - ALL surnames mentioned in the book are NOT listed in the index. Especially interesting was where the peoples who BECAME "more Irish than the Irish" came from/5(75). The whole saga of the Irish from earliest times to the present -- the various races from the time of Firbolg and the quest and occupation by the Milesians Spain through the various invasions; history, culture, religion, laws, arts, The story of the Irish race book, folklore, trade, literature, heroes Fein, Easter Uprising, etc.
